Neurosis

Here's another one of the latest additions to the collection.

This is one of the earlier releases of one of my favourite bands, Neurosis, called "Souls At Zero".

They started out as a hardcore band in the Bay Area in the late 80s but have with, more or less, every release since the start, moved towards something enterily new (at least it was back then).

There have been quite a few words used to try and describe the music that Neurosis creates, but nothing really nails it. If I were to try to describe it, I would say they play atmospheric doomish hardcore metal or something:) They mix slow doomy parts with extreme and heavy outbursts which create a dynamic and a tense feeling to the music that not a lot of other bands can come close to.

On this release, from 1992, they are at the verge of finding this spectacular sound, which they perfected on the pre-milennial records "Through Silver In Blood" and "Times Of Grace".

Below is a video where they perform the song "Locust Star" of the 1996 album "Through Silver In Blood". It's one of the videos I've watched the most on youtube. There's such a brutality and tension in the song that just blow me away! Enjoy!

It got boobs on the cover!

This is one of the latest additions to the collection. The brilliant "Electric Ladyland" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. This is a later Polydor re-issue and not the original Track release which is worth a lot of money! I'll probably sell it soon though as I've already got the same version. I bought this thinking it was an earlier issue. Any takers?:)

The person who sent me this also included a handwritten thank you note which is not everyday that you see so that was a nice surprise:)
